Once only found on high-end mountain bikes, hydraulic brakes are now becoming increasingly common on road bikes as well as on more affordable bikes generally.
Our courses, which cost £40 each, cover the theory of hydraulic brakes as well as bleeding and servicing brake systems from Shimano, Avid or Hope. We cover one manufacturer’s brakes per class, so have separate classes for Shimano, Avid and Hope, and are currently in the process of scheduling these classes for 2018, though the first class (for Shimano hydraulics for flat handlebars) has been set for Saturday, the 14th of April, starting at 10am. For more information in the meantime, please email Jon at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note – we’re now asking people to pay a deposit of £20 (which counts towards the cost of the class) to secure their booking for this class, as we’re finding a number of people have been booking places and then not showing up, which is unfair on those others we have to turn away once a class is fully booked.
Payment of the deposit can be made by Paypal (to email@example.com), or via bank transfer to London Bike Hub, sort code 08-92-99, and account number 65441099. Please use your first initial and first few letters of your surname, along with the first few letters of the course title, as your payment reference. We can take the deposit as cash or a cheque as well, if you drop it by the workshop at least a couple of weeks ahead of the course. Cheques should be made payable to London Bike Hub, and either handed in, or posted through the front door in an envelope marked for the attention of Jon Marks at London Bike Hub.
